A corporal destroyed part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces sabotage group in the area of the special operation

Corporal Rostislav Vereshchak, while on combat duty at an observation post in the special military operation zone (SVO), noticed and destroyed part of the sabotage group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on September 12 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

After detecting the enemy, Vereshchak passed the information to the higher command and, despite the mortar attack, engaged in battle with the Ukrainian militants.

He was able to hold down the enemy's movement and destroy most of the Ukrainian Armed Forces sabotage group with his personal small arms, which retreated after suffering losses. Thanks to the confident actions of Vereshchak, the enemy was prevented from entering the battle formations of the Russian units.

In addition, the department drew attention to the actions of the guard of Corporal Alexander Meshkov, who carried out the task of delivering an assault group to the front lines in an armored car.

During the combat mission, the armored vehicle was subjected to intense mortar fire and attacks by FPV drones. Despite this, Meshkov continued to move and delivered the personnel of the assault group to the designated area.

After the landing of the attack aircraft, returning to the initial area, the corporal noticed a Russian armored personnel carrier, which was damaged by an artillery strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. After assessing the situation, he decided to evacuate the crew, who were in an armored vehicle.

During the evacuation, Meshkov noticed an approaching enemy drone and destroyed it with small arms. After that, he completed the loading of the military personnel and delivered them to a safe area. Thanks to his courageous actions, the combat mission was completed, as well as the lives of Russian servicemen were saved.

On September 11, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that military personnel of the Southern Group of Forces had destroyed a temporary deployment point and a control point for unmanned aerial vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Konstantinovsky direction in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
