Bali authorities have declared a state of emergency (state of emergency) for a period of one week in connection with floods on the island. This was announced on September 11 at the Russian Embassy in Indonesia.
"In order to promptly eliminate the consequences of heavy heavy rains on September 9-10 <... The National Disaster Management Agency and the government of Bali Province have declared a state of emergency for a period of one week," the diplomatic mission wrote on its Telegram channel.
The embassy urged to remain calm and careful, as well as not to travel outside their place of residence.
The day before, it was reported that at least six people died as a result of floods in Bali, Indonesia. On the same day, a Russian woman vacationing in Bali told Izvestia that houses and villas on the island were flooded after heavy rains. The woman also noted that in other areas of Bali, torrents of water demolish cars and flood houses.
