Lukashenko thanked the United States for the partial lifting of sanctions against Belarus

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko expressed gratitude to the United States for initiating the process of lifting the sanctions imposed on the republic. He announced this on September 11 at a meeting with the republic's Permanent Representative to the UN, Valentin Rybakov.

"The fact that they started lifting sanctions against us — thank them for that, it will be easier for us to work. This is also very important. And this is not the main direction of our work, as I warned you. But it exists. It dominates the economy, and the economy is people's lives," the Belarusian leader said.
