The average price of a used passenger car in August 2025 in Russia was 1.43 million rubles, which is 4% less than at the end of last summer (1.49 million rubles). This was reported on September 11 by the analytical agency Autostat.

The most popular foreign cars in August, which at the end of the summer turned out to be the closest to the average price, were the four-year-old Kia Rio and Hyundai Solaris.

Of the older cars, the six-year-old Renault Arkana, the seven-year-old Kia Ceed and Toyota Corolla and the eight-year-old Hyundai Creta stand out. Among the more "young" cars in the price category of about 1.5 million rubles, the two-year-old Chery Tiggo 4 Pro and Omoda S5 are the leaders, experts noted.

Earlier, on September 10, it was reported that as of mid-2025, there were 2.65 million Chinese-made passenger cars in the Russian Federation. Auto brands from China account for about 6% of the total number of registered passenger cars in Russia. In other words, every 17th passenger car in the country belongs to the Chinese brand.

Prior to that, it became known that by the end of August 2025, three Toyota models turned out to be the best-selling in Russia among cars from car brands that had stopped doing business in the country.
