Colombian striker of FC Krasnodar John Cordoba has been suspended for one match and another suspended for three months for aggressive behavior in the game against CSKA. This was announced on September 11 on the official website of the Russian Football Union (RFU).

It is noted that the RFU Control and Disciplinary Committee (KDK) rejected Krasnodar's appeal against the red card for Cordoba. The striker will miss the match of the eighth round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) against Tolyatti Akron, which will be held on September 13.

The Colombian received a red card in the 57th minute of the match in Moscow: chief referee Rafael Shafeev sent off the player for a rough game against the defender of the army Moises. Trying to kick the ball, the striker touched the opponent's arm with his foot and collided with him, adds Sport-Express.

Earlier, on August 31, after the match with CSKA Moscow, Cordoba announced his possible withdrawal from the Russian Football Championship. It was clarified that the match ended 1-1, Cordoba scored a goal, but received a red card in the 56th minute. According to him, a lot has already happened in Russia over the four years of his career, and despite his love for the club, such situations make it difficult to continue playing.
