In Thailand, lions mauled the keeper of the Safari World Zoo in front of tourists. This was reported on September 11 by the Daily Star.

It is specified that 58-year-old Gian Rangharasamy was killed by predators when he got out of a jeep in an enclosure with animals. One of the lions attacked him, and soon several more joined the attacker. The tourists in the car tried to shout and honk to scare away the animals, but could not help.

"The lion attacked the caretaker when he got out of the car. He was about 10 meters away, then slowly approached and grabbed him from behind, knocking him to the ground and biting him. Three or four lions joined in and started biting the caretaker," said local doctor Tavatchai Kanjanarin.

The predator attack lasted 15 minutes before zoo staff were able to reach Rangharasamy.

The man was taken to the hospital, but died of his wounds. The police believe that the caretaker violated the rules by getting out of the car. Normally, lions retreat as soon as they hear the sound of an engine starting. The zoo was temporarily closed.

On June 22, a predator attacked Oleg Zubkov, director of the Taigan Lviv Park. The animal inflicted multiple wounds on the man. The victim underwent surgery, and his condition was stabilized. As noted by Tatiana Aleksagina, head of the Taigan press service, the lion attacked Zubkov because he attracted the animal's attention by the sharp sound of the door closing.

Zubkov returned to work on July 5. He later revealed the details of the incident. According to Zubkov, he violated the allowed distance between himself and the lion before the predator attacked.
