The infectious disease specialist spoke about the rules of flu vaccination
Before vaccination against influenza, it is important to follow several rules. Andrey Matyukhin, an infectious disease specialist at the Be Healthy clinic, told about this on Thursday, September 11.
According to the specialist, vaccination should be carried out two to three weeks before the onset of an increase in the incidence. This is due to the time it takes for the immune system to produce antibodies to protect the body.
"The flu vaccine protects against the virus on the same principle as other vaccines: it contains an inactivated or killed pathogen, through which the body receives information about the antigen without the risk of getting sick," the doctor explained in an interview with Lenta.Ru .
Matyukhin called the preparation for vaccination important. He recommended abstaining from alcohol one or two days before vaccination, not hypothermia, not being exposed to the direct rays of the scorching sun, not engaging in active sports, and avoiding crowded places.
"You can not get vaccinated with signs of malaise, acute respiratory infections and acute respiratory viral infections, with an increase in body temperature, or other health problems. That is, acute infectious diseases, chronic infectious, autoimmune and other acute diseases can be an absolute contraindication," concluded the infectious disease specialist.
On September 8, a large-scale campaign to vaccinate residents of the capital against influenza was launched in Moscow, the Moscow City News agency reports.

He noted that the specialist will examine the patient for infectious processes so that the vaccination is really effective, RT reports.
Mobile vaccination points are located at metro, MCC, and MCD stations. Anyone can get vaccinated at any time if they wish. There are 18 mobile points in Moscow. You must have a passport and a compulsory medical insurance policy with you.
