Improper storage of tea bags can lead to loss of taste, aroma and color of tea, as well as microbiological spoilage. Marina Moiseyak, Professor of the Department of Fermentation and Winemaking Technologies at Rosbiotech University, warned about this on Thursday, September 11.

The specialist clarified that tea bags are well stored at temperatures from 0 to +18 degrees on shelves, in a well-ventilated room, away from heating household appliances.

The specialist also recommended storing tea in a dark place, because light can destroy essential oils and other important components. Also, the product should be kept separate from spices and spices — tea leaves absorb odors well, which can cause the drink to acquire an undesirable taste.

Earlier, on August 15, a gastroenterologist of the first category, nutritionist, and eating psychologist Nuria Dianova told whether tea with honey is really useful.

According to her, honey is a high—calorie and expensive product, essentially comparable to sugar, so you should not look for special benefits in it. If you add it to hot tea or pastries, it leaves only the aroma and taste, not the medicinal properties.

In turn, Elena Nasankayeva, an allergist and immunologist at SM Clinic, warned that drinking tea immediately after eating can disrupt digestive processes.
