US President Donald Trump has demanded that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commit himself not to launch new attacks on Qatar after the attack on the leaders of the Palestinian radical movement Hamas in Doha. This was reported on September 11 by the Axios portal, citing sources.

According to the newspaper, Netanyahu did not consult with Trump or any of his top advisers before the attack on Doha.

"This attack has damaged not only Israel's global credibility, but also potentially America's. Qatar's prime Minister has informed the White House that his country will now review its security partnership with Washington after this act of "betrayal."

According to US officials, after the strike on Qatar, Trump held two telephone conversations with Netanyahu. According to the portal, "Netanyahu is not going to publicly apologize," and even hinted that he could order a new attack, regardless of the American leader's demands.

At the same time, Qatar's Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani said he considered the incident a betrayal by Israel and the United States.

"Al Thani informed White House Envoy Steve Witkoff that after Qatar was attacked by Iran and then Israel for six months, he would conduct a deep assessment of his security partnership with the United States "and possibly find other partners" who could support its security if necessary.", — stated in the article.

The day before, it was reported that Trump expressed dissatisfaction with Netanyahu in connection with the strike on Doha during a tense telephone conversation. It is noted that the US president was outraged that he learned about the Israeli operation from the US military, and not from Israel.

On September 9, the IDF press service reported attacks on the top leadership of the Hamas movement. The IDF stressed that measures had been taken before the strike to minimize damage to the civilian population. So, the strikes were carried out with precision weapons, additional intelligence data was used.

Shortly after, the Palestinian movement reported that six people were killed in the attack, including the son of Hamas leader Khalil al-Haya and a Qatari officer. The movement's negotiating team survived.
