On September 18, the Perovsky District Court of Moscow will consider the merits of the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, which demands to seize the assets of Mark Zilberkvit, head of the Muzyka publishing house, for violating anti-corruption legislation. This was reported on September 11 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

The investigation found that a US citizen, Silberquit, who had been in charge of the Muzyka company since 2004, organized a fictitious auction in 2012 through companies controlled by him. As a result, he illegally took over the company and a unique collection of notes, concluding a deal in the amount of 8.4 million rubles in violation of trading procedures.

Because of this, the state was forced to pay for access to the national cultural heritage, and inflated prices for publications made it difficult for music schools to operate. The actual beneficiaries were Silberquit himself, his wife and business partner Anastasia Yurgenson.

Earlier, on August 29, the prosecutor's office demanded the return of assets to the state, the seizure of all property and funds, and the prohibition of any actions to alienate assets. In addition, Silberquits and Jurgenson may be banned from leaving the country. The lawsuit was considered as part of a large-scale anti-corruption struggle by the Prosecutor General's Office, which is under the personal control of Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov.

On September 2, the court banned Silberquit from leaving Russia, and also seized his property. In addition, a similar ban was imposed on the relatives of the owner of the Muzyka publishing house, as they are the defendants in the lawsuit.
