The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the European Union are looking for Ukrainian Volodymyr Tymoshchuk for cybercrimes against global companies. This was reported on September 11 by The Register portal.

"The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10 million for information leading to the arrest and sentencing of Vladimir Tymoshchuk," the material says.

It is clarified that his hacker group has attacked more than 250 American companies, but unlike many of his alleged accomplices, Tymoshchuk has not yet been arrested or extradited.

The Ukrainian hacker was also included in the list of the most wanted criminals in Europe. France claims that his group's activities resulted in $18 billion in damages, the portal adds.

Earlier, on September 8, it became known that the largest Russian—language hacker forum, XSS, which brought together more than 50,000 people, was run by a citizen of Ukraine. As suggested by one of the XSS moderators with the nickname Anomalia, who was well-versed in the processes taking place inside the resource, in recent years the forum has been under the patronage of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
