Artyom Misyura, accused of poisoning his relatives and friends, wanted to abandon a lawyer appointed by the state in order to independently represent his interests in court. This was reported on September 11 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

The court rejected the man's petition.

Missura is charged under the articles "Murder of two persons committed in a generally dangerous manner for mercenary motives," "Attempted murder," and "Fraud committed on a large scale." He admitted his guilt.

Missyura was detained on July 19, 2024. According to the investigation, from January to June, the suspect, while in his parents' apartment, poured strong chemicals into their products with the aim of fatal poisoning. The victims, after a sharp deterioration in their health, resorted to the help of doctors, but they could not determine the cause.

After that, a surveillance camera was installed in the apartment, which recorded how the son poured toxic substances into his parents' food. Later, it became known about two more victims of the poisoner's actions.

On August 25, Missyura, accused of poisoning his relatives and friends, fully admitted his guilt. Kristina Dudkina, the defendant's ex-girlfriend, spoke in court. She shared that she herself became a victim of poisoning in January 2024. After consuming a cocktail made by her ex-boyfriend, she lost consciousness and spent a week in a coma.
