AvtoVAZ refuted the ban on employee communication in messengers

AvtoVAZ does not regulate the personal communication of its employees and does not prohibit the use of certain messengers, the company's press service told Izvestia on September 11.

Earlier that day, information spread on Telegram channels that AvtoVAZ employees were allegedly banned from discussing the company's developments in messengers and ordered to delete WhatsApp (owned by Meta, whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).

"AvtoVAZ does not regulate personal communication of its employees in any way. Closed communication channels are used to exchange information on work issues, including a corporate messenger and e—mail," an official representative of the Togliatti auto giant told Izvestia.
