The Kremlin called the macroeconomic situation in Russia calm
The macroeconomic situation in Russia remains calm despite the turbulent state of affairs in the global economy. This was announced on September 11 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"Overall, the macroeconomic situation continues to remain calm, reliable and predictable. Despite the rather unsettled state of affairs in the global economy," he said at a briefing, commenting on the rise in the over—the-counter euro exchange rate to 100 rubles.
According to Peskov, there are always parties in the market who benefit most from fluctuations in the ruble.
