- Pamfilova announced the readiness of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation to attempt to interfere in the elections.
The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Russia takes into account the possibility of any attempts to interfere in the elections, including hacker attacks. This was announced on September 11 by CEC Chairman Ella Pamfilova.
"As the single voting day approaches, we also expect an increase in the intensity of interference attempts by our enemies and an increase in the number of cyber attacks, we also take this into account," Pamfilova said.
The Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation noted that the Russian Election Commission is working to anticipate and prevent threats.
"Artificial intelligence will be actively used to create deepfakes and to distort the information space, create semantic hallucinations, we are talking about the electoral sphere," she added.
Earlier in the day, Pamfilova noted that the Russian electoral system has adapted to the conduct of elections in the face of the anti-Russian campaign unleashed by the West in recent years. In addition, she noted that political parties operate as a single fist in the interests of the country's security.
