The White House has no plans to respond to the murder of Charlie Kirk, a conservative political activist and ally of US President Donald Trump. This was reported on September 11 by The Washington Post (WP), citing a source in the American administration.

"We are thinking about Charlie and his family. <...> We are not thinking about the political reaction," he said in an interview with the publication.

According to the publication, after the incident, many Trump supporters demanded a "forceful response." Some of them called for retaliatory violence.

The assassination attempt on Kirk, who was an ally of Trump, was carried out on September 10. A politician who openly opposed the provision of military assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has died. Trump promised to find "anyone and everyone" involved in the murder of the American activist.

Later, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Mike Johnson announced that United States lawmakers were calling for increased security amid Kirk's murder. According to him, they must take "serious measures in serious times."
