An accident involving a boat occurred in the Gulf of Finland on Wednesday evening, September 10. There were 11 people on board the vessel — passengers and the captain, according to 78.ru .

At some point, the ship lost its course and began to drift in the waters of the Ekaterinhofka River. According to preliminary information, the gearbox of the boat has failed.

The boat was towed to the parking lot, and the passengers were taken ashore on another vessel. The St. Petersburg Transport Prosecutor's Office is conducting a safety check on the operation of water transport.

A similar incident occurred earlier in August in Vyborg Bay. Two boats collided near the Lavola recreation center, injuring seven people.
