About 50 protest suppression operations were reported in France.
French Acting Foreign Minister Bruno Retaio said that law enforcement agencies are conducting about 50 operations across the country in order to quell protests and reopen key infrastructure facilities. This was announced on September 10 by the BMFTV TV channel.
Retaio clarified that operations take place mainly on highways and warehouses. According to him, Protestant blockades are hindering French citizens.
In addition, the country's Interior Ministry reported that almost 200 thousand people took part in the protests. Law enforcement officers arrested 540 people, including 210 in Paris.
According to the TV channel, 23 police officers were injured as a result of the protests.
On September 10, BMFTV reported that protests against government policies in France had attracted 175,000 participants. According to the Interior Ministry, by 17:00 (18:00 Moscow time), 812 actions had taken place in the country, of which 550 were rallies, and 262 were attempts to block various facilities.
On the same day in Paris, protesters began blocking streets and burning bonfires as a sign of dissatisfaction with the austerity measures proposed by the government and the political crisis in the country.
