The Kherson–Mykolaiv highway is under fire control of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. This was announced on September 11 by the governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo.

"We keep the sky over the highway to Mykolaiv and the road to Belozerka under control. Drones are working, all the time. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are no longer moving in these directions — it is too dangerous for them," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

The governor specified that the bypass road through Snigirevka is now used as an alternative route to Mykolaiv.
