Two men were detained on suspicion of sabotage in Novosibirsk.

The Leninsky District Court has decided to take into custody two men suspected of committing acts of sabotage at railway facilities. This was announced on September 11 by the Novosibirsk Court of General jurisdiction on the VKontakte social network.

The men are suspected of committing a crime under paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 281 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Sabotage").

According to the agency, in the period from September 6 to September 7, 2025, the men, having entered into a preliminary conspiracy, set fire to a relay cabinet in the Leninsky district of Novosibirsk. The investigation believes that their actions were aimed at undermining the economic security and defense capability of the Russian Federation.

It is specified that the suspects were detained on September 9. The court decided to detain them until November 8, 2025, but these decisions have not yet entered into force.

On September 10, the FSB Central Control Center of Russia reported the arrest of a resident of Izhevsk who planned to kill an employee of a military-industrial complex (MIC) enterprise commissioned by the Ukrainian special services. A criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 30, part 2 of Article 205 ("Preparation for a terrorist act"). The man is currently in custody.
