New rules of transportation for buses have come into force in Russia
The regulation of licensed bus carriers in the Russian Federation has undergone changes. This follows from government documents, the contents of which are quoted by RIA Novosti on September 11.
Amendments to the regulations on federal control of motor vehicles, electric vehicles and road facilities have changed the classification of surveillance facilities by severity groups and risk categories.
It is specified that now licensed bus passenger transportation is classified as a group of severity "A" (previously "B"). The supervision uses a risk assessment system (high, significant, medium, low), which is influenced by severity groups.
According to the documents, the frequency of scheduled inspections and preventive visits for bus transportation now depends on the risk category. For high-risk patients, various activities are provided every two years and a preventive visit once a year.
For high and medium risk, a preventive visit is required by government decision. Scheduled inspections for significant, medium and low risk are not carried out.
On July 15, the Russian Ministry of Transport prepared a bill according to which all regions will have the right to determine the list of buses that can travel in designated lanes for public transport. It was clarified that the bill had been submitted for public discussion.
