Military personnel of the Southern Group of Forces destroyed a temporary deployment point and a control point for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Konstantinovsky direction in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced on September 11 by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The ministry clarified that the targets were discovered during aerial reconnaissance by Russian UAV operators, who, together with cannon artillery calculations, destroyed them.

It is noted that the calculation of the 152-millimeter towed howitzer "Hyacinth-B" of the Guards artillery unit of the Southern Group of Forces was involved in the operation.

"Counter-battery warfare is difficult, but at the same time it is necessary, because we extinguish the enemy gun, which is working on our people. The sooner we get there, the more lives will be saved. This is the most important thing for us right now," said a soldier with the call sign Smiley.

The senior battery officer with the call sign Globus added that all the members of his team, who have done a lot of work, are real "hard workers" who need to be supported, mentored and motivated.

"I was taught this way: <...> you have to go through the entire stage of preparing a firing position together with the calculation. <...> You should be with them, give them a hint. <...> Show them where it is better not to go, where it is better to dig a cellar, where it is better to put a dugout, sit in the same dugout, talk to them (military personnel. — Ed.)," he concluded.
