A field producing about 1,000 oil barrels per day has been found in Hungary.
A new oil field capable of producing about 1,000 barrels per day has been found at a depth of 2.4 thousand meters in northern Hungary near the town of Galgaheviz. This was announced on September 10 on the website of the oil and gas company MOL.
"MOL and O&GD companies have discovered a new oil field <...> The Galgaheviz-4 well is capable of producing about 1,000 barrels of crude oil per day," the statement said.
The extracted raw materials, the total volume of which MOLGROUP shares with another organization O&GD in the ratio of 51-49%, will be processed at the Danube Oil Refinery in Sazhalombatta.
The text emphasizes that the discovered deposit will contribute to ensuring the country's independence from imports in conditions of uncertainty of its supply routes.
On July 21, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto announced the beginning of discussions with Russia and Serbia on the construction of an oil pipeline through which this natural oily combustible liquid will be supplied to the state.
