A listening device was found in the apartment of a businessman close to Zelensky

A listening device was discovered in a Kiev apartment owned by businessman Timur Mindich, who is close to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. This was reported on September 10 by the Ukrainska Pravda newspaper.

It is specified that the businessman's apartment was checked for listening devices twice a week, but the search did not bring results.

According to the publication, after the investigation into the wiretapping of Mindich's apartment was made public, the president's office reacted with some skepticism about the veracity of this information.

There were attempts to find out whether this story was artificially created to put pressure on the authorities at a time when the independence of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine (SAP) was under threat.

The article clarified that the device was hidden in the floor of the apartment. There is also a suggestion that Zelensky himself could have been in this apartment.

The Mirror of the Week newspaper reported on July 4 that NABU had conducted searches at the home of former Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov in the case of the purchase of products for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) at inflated prices. It was clarified that NABU published audio wiretaps of businessmen who carried out fraud with the supply of products.

Earlier, on June 27, NABU officers conducted searches at the former deputy head of the office of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, Kirill Tymoshenko. It was clarified that the events were held as part of the investigation into the leak of information from the bureau. The fact of the searches was confirmed by the specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor's Office of the country.
