Performers from China and Vietnam were met in front of the "Intervision"
Participants of the Intervision song contest from China and Vietnam were greeted at the airport before the contest with bread and salt. On September 11, they shared their emotions about the upcoming event with Izvestia.
Chinese performer Wang Xi has arrived in Moscow for the first time. He admitted that he has long wanted to visit the main sights of the capital, and is also ready to meet artists from other countries and exchange experiences.
Wang Xi is preparing to present a song at the contest, which, according to his plan, reflects inner strength and will become a hallmark of his culture for a global audience. He also hopes for the growing popularity of Intervision and the expansion of the number of participating countries.
According to a representative from Vietnam, Duc Phuc, he was impressed by the talent of all 23 countries represented at Intervision 2025. Duc Fook considers the very fact of being able to perform at this competition to be his personal victory.
He "brought a piece of Vietnam" by appearing in a traditional Vietnamese "auzai" costume — a long tunic with a stand-up collar, slits on the sides and an oblique row of buttons. Duc Fook not only shares his culture, but is also actively interested in Russian. His family has already mastered the preparation of olivier, and the performer himself is looking forward to the opportunity to try borscht and pies.
The final of Intervision will be held in the capital on September 20 at the Live Arena. Honored Artist of Russia SHAMAN (real name Yaroslav Dronov) is participating from Russia with Maxim Fadeev's song "Straight to the Heart". Alexander Ovechkin, a Russian hockey player and captain of the Washington Capitals NHL club, has been announced as the cultural ambassador of Intervision 2025.
Alexander Alimov, Director of the Department for Multilateral Humanitarian Cooperation and Cultural Relations at the Russian Foreign Ministry, announced on August 23 that the winner of the Intervision International music competition would receive a cash prize of 30 million rubles.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on August 29 that the world was eagerly awaiting the Intervision music competition. According to her, the competition should help strengthen cooperation between the countries on an equal basis through intercultural dialogue.
