Charlie Kirk, a suspected American political activist and ally of US President Donald Trump, fired from a nearby building. This was reported on September 10 by NBC News.

"A Utah Valley University spokesperson said in a statement that the suspect shot Kirk from the Losey University Center, about 200 feet from where he was sitting," the publication said.

It is also added that the suspect was taken into custody, he is not a student, a university spokesman said.
