Cuba's national energy system has completely shut down. This was announced on September 10 by the Ministry of Energy and Mining of the Republic.

"There has been a complete shutdown of the national energy system," reads a Facebook post (owned by Meta, a company whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

According to preliminary information, the shutdown may be related to the failure of the thermal power plant in the city of Matanas.

In addition, the ministry added that microsystems have been formed at the moment, which are aimed at servicing the most important infrastructure facilities.

Bloomberg also clarified that the shutdown in Cuba was the fourth in a year.

Der Spiegel magazine reported on September 9 that tens of thousands of households and many organizations in Berlin were left without electricity after an arson attack on power lines suspected by representatives of left-wing radical organizations. It is specified that in the worst case scenario, electricity will be unavailable until Thursday, September 11.
