NASA scientists have discovered possible traces of ancient life on Mars

NASA scientists believe they have found traces of ancient life forms in samples discovered by the American Perseverance rover. This was announced on September 10 on the website of the aerospace Agency.

According to NASA, unique textured spots were found on the rocks in the Neretva Vallis Valley last year, which were nicknamed "poppy seeds" or "leopard spots." After examining the images and data, the scientists came to the conclusion that the stains could be by-products of microbes.

"The identification of a potential biosignature on the Red Planet is a revolutionary discovery that will enhance our understanding of Mars," said Acting NASA Administrator Sean Duffy.

Earlier, on September 5, NASA announced that they plan to launch a unique simulation, during which four volunteers will spend a whole year in conditions simulating life on Mars. It is specified that they will live in a 3D-printed dwelling located at the NASA Space Center in Houston.
