ROSSETI is implementing major projects in the Moscow Region, including the construction of 500 kV and 750 kV substations. An unprecedented amount of work in the distribution complex will also be completed by 2030. In particular, new facilities have been introduced in Domodedovo, Dubna, Odintsovo, Ramenskoye and other cities. This was stated by the head of the company Andrey Ryumin at the opening of the first Interregional Energy Forum.

Sergey Tsivilev, Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, participated in the event, organized on the initiative of Andrey Vorobyov, Governor of the Moscow Region. The main industry trends and solutions that are necessary for the transition to a new technological order were discussed.

It is noted that the emergence of large data centers, the construction of housing with electric heating, the creation of powerful air conditioning systems, and the development of electric transport affect changes in the volume and profile of consumption. There is a growing demand for reliability due to sensitive machinery in production and at home.

As emphasized in Rosseti, trends are typical for many regions of Russia, including the Moscow region. It is necessary to build and modernize the infrastructure using up-to-date technological solutions. That is why, as part of the instructions of the President of Russia, an agreement was signed in 2024 between the Ministry of Energy of Russia, the governments of Moscow and the Moscow Region on the development of the Moscow energy system, the company noted.

"The support of the Russian Ministry of Energy and regional authorities is very important to us, as they understand the importance of reliable operation of the electric power industry and the amount of investments needed to solve all the tasks set. The Moscow region is a prime example," Ryumin emphasized. He added that thanks to the signing of the regulatory agreement, additional funds are being allocated for the modernization and development of infrastructure.

The forum also discussed the activities of backbone territorial network organizations, as well as the transition to a reference principle for calculating operating costs.
