The Tagansky District Court of Moscow sentenced the former vice-governor of the Samara region, Gennady Gendin, to six years in prison to serve his sentence in a general regime colony. This was reported to Izvestia on September 10 by a court source.

On August 9, it became known that Gendin was accused of fraud on a particularly large scale. The relevant information follows from the case file on the official website of the courts of general jurisdiction in Moscow.

No details about the crime were given. At the same time, according to the court, Gendin pleaded not guilty.
