Experts spoke about the demand for aluminum bus shelters
Moscow is completing the replacement of outdated public transport stops with modern aesthetic complexes, and many regions of Russia, following the example of the capital, have also begun to order aluminum bus stops, Dmitry Slobodyanyuk, Deputy General Director of Stroykomplex, told Izvestia.
"Modern and reliable bus stops not only provide comfort for citizens, but also are an integral part of public space, giving the urban landscape an aesthetic, progressive look," explained Dmitry Slobodyanyuk. In addition, according to the expert, the use of aluminum makes it possible to minimize the cost of maintaining stops, since this metal has high anti-corrosion properties.
Today, almost 20,000 aluminum complexes have been installed in Moscow, while about 1,000 complexes are still operating in the regions, installed in about ten cities of the country. Therefore, according to experts, the space for growth remains significant.
"Since 2015, our company and other companies have been supplying aluminum stops for the capital, the first complexes have been in operation for ten years and confirm all the advantages inherent in the project: they retain their appearance in an aggressive environment and do not require expensive maintenance," Slobodyanyuk added.
Moscow has largely determined the standards of quality of transport services, which the regions are striving for, industry experts say. In particular, when implementing the program for the Integrated development of electric transport in 10 regions of the Russian Federation, many cities are installing tram stops modeled after Moscow ones. Some cities are ordering modern complexes for bus transport. Aluminum stops have now appeared in the Moscow Region, the Skolkovo and Innopolis innovation centers, as well as in Kogalym, Taganrog, Orenburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kursk, Lipetsk, Yekaterinburg, Perm, Valdai, Yaroslavl, Saratov, Murmansk, and Ryazan.
"Bus stops are one of the most widespread and noticeable small architectural forms that directly affect the urban landscape. Due to the desire of the Moscow government to apply the best international practices in everything, aluminum began to be used in the production of stops, several production complexes appeared that met the needs of the capital and will meet the needs of the subjects of the Russian Federation," said Evgeny Vasiliev, Director of Market Development at Rusal.
