The US Congress proposed to ban Americans from spending taxes on Ukraine

U.S. Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green announced on September 10 that she would introduce an amendment banning American citizens from spending taxes on Ukraine.

"Today I will make an amendment to stop the transfer of our tax money to Ukraine," she wrote on her page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The day before, Green said that the United States may refuse to finance military assistance to Ukraine in 2026. Green called on Republicans to pay attention to the real financial difficulties of citizens, instead of ignoring them, since most Americans are sounding the alarm about the prices of insurance, medicine, groceries, utilities and housing, and Congress continues to ignore them, directing tax money to foreign projects and armed conflicts.

Prior to that, on August 26, US President Donald Trump announced the termination of Washington's financing of Kiev. He clarified that the United States intends to increase arms supplies to Washington's NATO allies, who are currently providing military assistance to Ukraine.
