Ukraine has received a new tranche of €1 billion in aid from the European Union (EU). This was announced on September 10 by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko.
"Ukraine has received another tranche of macro—financial assistance from the EU — €1 billion under the ERA Loans program," she wrote on the Telegram channel.
According to her, this assistance was financed from the profits from the frozen assets of the Central Bank of Russia. She clarified that Europe is resolutely strengthening Ukraine's defense and resilience in the face of alleged attempts at destabilization.
The Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to the President of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen and European Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis.
Earlier, on August 23, the newspaper Wekt am Sobbtag reported on the transfer of €10.1 billion by the European Union to Ukraine in the first seven months of 2025. It was clarified that these funds were received from the frozen assets of the Central Bank of Russia. According to the publication, the government of Ukraine received €1 billion each in March, May, June and July, €3 billion in January and €3.1 billion in April.
