Planes from four NATO countries participated in the neutralization of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the Polish border. This was announced on September 10 by the Secretary General of the alliance Mark Rutte.

"Our air defense system was activated and successfully secured the territory of NATO. <...> Together with Poland, several allies were involved, including Polish F-16, Dutch F-35, Italian and German aircraft and a NATO tanker aircraft," he said, the broadcast of the speech was published on the YouTube channel. Earlier in the day, the operational command of the branches of the Armed Forces of Poland (RFA) reported on the defeat of several drones by the Polish military that violated the country's airspace. Later, the Reuters news agency, citing sources in NATO, said that the alliance did not regard the incident with the drone in Poland as an attack.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk called the incident with the penetration of drones into the country's airspace a large-scale provocation. In turn, Andrei Ordash, Charge d'affaires of Russia in Poland, said that Warsaw had not provided any evidence of the Russian origin of the drones. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian Federation had not received requests for contacts from Poland in connection with the downed drones in the country.
