In Russia, the number of Chinese cars has been calculated

As of mid-2025, there were 2.65 million Chinese-made passenger cars in Russia. This was reported on September 10 by the analytical agency Autostat. According to his calculations, auto brands from China account for about 6% of the total number of registered passenger cars in Russia. In other words, every 17th passenger car in the country belongs to the Chinese brand.

Experts predict that by the beginning of next year, Chinese cars in the Russian fleet will outpace French ones (2.7 million units) and may come close to American ones (3.18 million units).

The most common car brand from China in the Russian Federation is Chery with a share of 22% of all registered "Chinese" (582.2 thousand units). Haval ranks second in this indicator (468.6 thousand units), Geely ranks third (457.9 thousand units). Changan and Lifan were among the top five (202.5 thousand and 151 thousand units, respectively). Three more companies overcame the mark of 100 thousand cars — Great Wall (131.8 thousand units), Exeed (107.9 thousand units) and Omoda (104.1 thousand units).

The Haval Jolion (189.4 thousand units) is the leader in the model ranking among Chinese cars in Russia, followed by the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max (123.4 thousand units), Geely Coolray (99.1 thousand units), Chery Tiggo 4 Pro (95.5 thousand units) and Omoda C5 (84.4 thousand units).
