According to the army, the detainees used the riots to commit criminal acts such as looting, arson and vandalism.

In order to increase public safety, the Nepalese army has asked citizens to report any destructive or anarchic actions.

On September 8, the Nepalese authorities imposed a ban on the activities of a number of large social networks that did not register with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology on time. In this regard, mass protests began, and the number of victims of the riots increased to 500 people.
