The assembly of Aito Seres hybrid crossovers can be set up in Russia

The Avtotor plant in the Kaliningrad region may start production of Aito Seres cars. This was announced on September 10 by the Chinese Cars portal in its Telegram channel.

An indirect confirmation of this information is the tender for the purchase of a large volume of transmission oils for gearboxes, which is conducted by Avtotor. Both names are used for hybrid cars Aito M5, M7 and M9, Ruslan Latypov from the Comet-Auto company drew attention.

Previously, it was not reported that the production of Aito Seres cars could be established in the Russian Federation. In Russia, MB Rus, the former Russian subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz, is engaged in the sale of Chinese-made cars. The brand's lineup includes the M5 hybrid cross-coupe and the M7 crossover, and last year the company began accepting orders for the large M9 crossover.

The Chinese company Seres Group began cooperation with the IT giant Huawei in 2021, the cars developed by them debuted on the home market in 2022.

The day before, it was reported that domestic-built Jetour T2 crossovers were on sale in Russian car dealerships. According to information in the offers from dealers, the Kaliningrad Avtotor plant is engaged in the production of T2, although this has not been officially announced.
