According to the orientalist, it is unlikely that Qatar, whose economy is heavily dependent on the export of liquefied natural gas (LNG), is ready to expose itself to the risk of Israeli attacks. He added that this looks ridiculous, since Doha has many vulnerabilities that Israel can easily exploit.

Balmasov also stressed that the actions of the United States under the leadership of the head of the White House, Donald Trump, despite his statements of outrage over the attacks, could create conditions for the normalization of relations between Qatar and Tel Aviv.

"Before trying to resolve the situation, it is important to have a broader outlook and use the lessons learned for other conflicts, such as the situation in Ukraine," the expert stressed.
