The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has agreed with Iran to monitor nuclear facilities in Isfahan, Natanz and Fordo. This was announced on September 10 by the agency's CEO, Rafael Grossi, during a session of the Board of Governors.

"The technical document provides a clear understanding of the procedures for inspections, notification transmission and their practical implementation, fully consistent with the provisions of the JCPOA. They [inspections] concern all nuclear facilities and installations in Iran, including facilities that have been attacked and nuclear materials that are located there," TASS quoted him as saying.

According to Grossi, the agreement is fully consistent with the comprehensive safeguards agreement.

Earlier, on September 9, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced that new terms of cooperation had been agreed with the IAEA after the suspension of cooperation and the termination of inspections at the Islamic Republic's nuclear facilities. It was clarified that the parties have begun negotiations aimed at creating a new mechanism to fulfill Iran's obligations under guarantees and ensure continued cooperation.
