Calculations of the Molniya-2 UAV destroyed the observation posts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Sumy region

During the combat work of calculations of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Molniya-2 aircraft type of the Phoenix battalion of the 1st Guards Engineer sapper regiment of the North group of forces, military installations, armored and automotive equipment, as well as personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were destroyed in Sumy region. This was announced on September 10 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

Having received the coordinates of the identified enemy targets, the UAV calculations destroyed the enemy with an accurate hit by an impact drone with a high-explosive fragmentation warhead.

The device is launched using an ejection device, controlled using a remote control and glasses, similar to FPV drones.

"At first, I was somewhat skeptical about these drones, it seemed that they were inferior to conventional quadrocopters. And now I've worked for them and realized that it's a little bit higher in terms of signal quality, and even in terms of live ammunition," said the squad leader with the call sign Grizzly.

The new equipment will reduce the time spent by the gunners in their positions.

On September 9, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian military personnel had hit ammunition depots, command posts, and drone launch sites. It is specified that the defeat was inflicted by tactical aircraft, attack drones, as well as missile forces and artillery groups. Russian fighters also eliminated the launcher and control cabin of the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
