As a result of the mass protests taking place in Nepal, which were attended by young people unhappy with rising unemployment and corruption, multiple infrastructure damage was recorded. Izvestia publishes relevant footage on September 10.

The video shows burning cars, motorcycles, buildings, government offices and residential premises. The fire also engulfed vegetation on the streets of the city in places.

Protesters climb onto roofs and chant slogans, raising flags in the air, among which, as seen in some footage, was a machine gun. People move along motorways and roadways, as well as occupy bridges.

On September 5, The Kathmandu Post newspaper reported the death of 14 people at the hands of police officers who opened fire, who, among others, went out to protest as a sign of dissatisfaction with the actions of the country's government.

Some time later, on September 9, protesters set fire to the central office of the ruling Nepali Congress Party and threw stones at the houses of members of the government of the state against the background of continuing unrest.

Nepal's President Ram Chandra Paudel, as well as Prime Minister Sharma Oli, resigned amid unrest in the country. Later, the protesters announced that the country had come under their control and called for the formation of a new government.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
