The head of the TFR of Russia expressed confidence in the participation of athletes from the Russian Federation in the 2026 Olympics

Nikolay Gulyaev, President of the Russian Skating Union (TFR), expressed confidence that Russian speed skaters and short track athletes will qualify for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. He announced this on September 9 at a press conference at the MMP MIA Rossiya Segodnya.

"Forecasts are a thankless task, so I will not make them. The season is special. Thanks to the ISU's decision, our athletes, albeit in small numbers, were allowed to qualify for the Olympic Games. I am sure our athletes will get [to the Olympics]," he said.
