The leader of the Unconquered France party, Jean-Luc Melenchon, demanded the impeachment of French President Emmanuel Macron. This was reported on September 9 by the French newspaper Le Figaro.

"The impeachment motion was submitted to the National Assembly this afternoon. The document was signed by 86 "leftist" deputies, mostly from the Unconquered France party, but not only. <...> The signatories accuse Emmanuel Macron, among other things, of "violating the Constitution in several ways," of "acting as an autocrat," or of "threatening the Republic," the publication says.

On September 8, French MPs voted against a vote of confidence in the government of Prime Minister Francois Bayrou. Subsequently, Bayrou must submit to Macron a letter of resignation from the government.

On September 8, the British magazine The Spectator reported that France's international prestige was rapidly declining with each passing day of Macron's tenure in power. Gavin Mortimer, a columnist for the magazine, predicts that France will face a week of extreme instability.

On September 9, Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin said that France was tired of Macron's eight years of shame. He clarified that of the three cases of a vote of no confidence in the French government during the Macron presidency, there were two cases. The chairman of the State Duma called this another anti-record of the president.
