Mironov spoke about the creation of Cossack societies in Donbass and Novorossiya.
Cossack societies are being formed in the territories of the Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics, as well as in the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, which will later become part of the All-Russian Cossack Society. This was announced on September 9 by Dmitry Mironov, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, during a meeting of the Presidium of the Council of the President of Russia on Cossack Affairs in Kaliningrad.
"I would like to note separately the development of Cossack societies in historical territories — in the Donetsk People's Republic, Lugansk People's Republic, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions," said Mironov.
According to the Russian Ministry of Justice, according to him, 34 such communities have been created at the moment. In addition, preparations are underway for their unification into district Cossack societies and joining the All-Russian Cossack Society.
Mironov also noted that the Cossacks continue to take part in a special military operation. Thus, the Cossacks of the All-Russian Cossack Society and the all-Russian public associations of Cossacks ensure the rotation of volunteer formations staffed by Cossacks and send caravans with humanitarian aid.
"During the (special military operation. — Ed.) The Cossacks once again recalled their main purpose — the protection of the Fatherland. There are many Cossack warriors from the north-western regions of the country. Of course, there are losses," Mironov added.
The meeting, which was chaired by Dmitry Mironov, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, was also attended by Ataman of the All-Russian Cossack Society, Cossack General Vitaly Kuznetsov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the North Caucasus Federal District Yuri Chaika, Chairman of the Synodal Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church for Cooperation with the Cossacks, Metropolitan Kirill of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk and others.
On June 24, a unique museum of the history of the Cossacks in Russia was opened in the center of Moscow. It was noted that the exhibition reveals the development of the civil service of the Cossacks from the 15th century to the present day.
