Traffic on the Palace Bridge will be restricted for one month in St. Petersburg. The corresponding order was issued by the State Administrative and Technical Inspectorate.

The bridge will be repaired in three stages. So, from September 16 to September 25, traffic will be restricted from the University Embankment to the Palace (English) embankment.

From September 26 to October 5, two lanes will be available in each direction. It will be limited in the remaining lanes. The third stage is scheduled for the period from October 6 to October 15. These days, traffic will be blocked from the Palace (English) embankment to the University Embankment.

Earlier it was reported that the cost of constructing the Bolshoy Smolensky Bridge in St. Petersburg increased by almost 300 million rubles. The previous amount was 39.9 billion rubles, and the new amount exceeded 40.3 billion rubles. Adjustments to the contract were made on August 27.
