Novorossiysk transport hub to be upgraded for 70 billion rubles
The Novorossiysk transport hub is planned to be upgraded in the Krasnodar Territory. By 2030, more than 69.4 billion rubles will be allocated for these purposes. The order was published on the website of the Russian government on Tuesday, September 9.
The project was included in the federal state program "Construction". It provides for the laying of about 50 km of additional tracks, the construction of new railway parks and the development of Novorossiysk station.
According to KrasnodarMedia news agency, the implementation of the project will make it possible to eliminate bottlenecks on the railway approaches to the seaports of the south of the country, which in turn will increase cargo turnover.
The state program "Construction" was launched in February 2023. It includes government-priority construction projects worth more than 3 billion rubles. Money is allocated from the budget for their implementation. The list includes large medical, sports, educational and cultural centers, municipal and transport infrastructure facilities.
