GAC announces prices for GS4 all-wheel drive crossover in Russia
The new all-wheel drive crossover GAC GS4 went on sale in Russia. The model is available in two trim levels, priced from 3.5 million and 3.65 million rubles, excluding special offers, the company said in a statement received by Izvestia on September 9.
The GAC GS4 all-wheel drive is powered by a two-liter gasoline engine that develops 231 hp (380 Nm) paired with the classic Aisin 8-speed automatic transmission with a torque converter. Exactly the same powertrain is installed on the flagship GS8 crossover. The average consumption per 100 km in a mixed cycle is 9.2 liters. The all—wheel drive transmission is based on the sixth-generation Haldex electrohydraulic clutch from BorgWarner, which acts as an axle differential.
In addition to climate control, a multimedia system with a 10.1-inch screen and wireless charging, the launch version of the GS4 GAC includes heated steering wheel and rear seats, as well as ventilation of the front seats and four speakers of the audio system. The initial GS4 all-wheel drive modification is 500 thousand rubles more expensive than the basic front-wheel drive.
In the extended version, the GS4 is equipped with 19-inch wheels, a panoramic roof with a curtain and an electric drive, six speakers, an electric fifth door, and a folding function for exterior mirrors. In addition to the eight airbags, the top version is equipped with front seat belts with dynamic locking, which will reduce the load on the chest in the event of a collision. The rear seat belts are equipped with a warning function that the passenger is not wearing a seat belt.
GAC introduced the GS4 crossover in Russia in March of this year, the price of the novelty started from 3 million rubles. The model was offered in one configuration with a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 170 hp (250 Nm) in conjunction with a 7-speed robot with two clutches, front-wheel drive only. With a body length of 4685 mm, the wheelbase is 2750 mm.
