The State Duma reacted to the criticism of BRICS in the United States
Trade relations with the United States have already been established and we would not like to sever them, as this will affect pricing. This is how Anatoly Aksakov, head of the State Duma's financial market committee, reacted on Tuesday, September 9, to criticism from the BRICS countries in the United States.
Earlier, Peter Navarro, adviser to US President Donald Trump, said that none of the BRICS countries could survive without trade with the United States, the website notes. kp.ru . He also compared the member countries of the association with vampires, who allegedly "suck all the blood out of the United States through unfair trade practices." 360.ru .
According to Aksakov, the severance of trade relations with Washington will lead to the need to make certain efforts in order to replace those goods that countries buy in the United States and find new markets.
At the same time, the parliamentarian stressed that everything that Americans buy and sell is produced in other countries of the world, and you just need to spend time and effort to replace it.
"Taking into account new technologies, according to calculations, this is not a problem at all. That is, calculations can be quickly replaced from the American financial system, and for goods, in principle, too. There are already modern systems for the delivery of goods, and, given modern interaction technologies, they can also be quickly applied in order to replace the American market and American goods with other countries," the deputy explained in an interview with Lenta.Ru .
The politician added that Washington's plans to sever trade relations with the BRICS member countries would lead to the destruction of US influence and dominance.
The BRICS closed meeting was held on September 8. The Kremlin's press service reported that the BRICS leaders discussed cooperation in trade, economic and other spheres during the summit, taking into account the current situation in the global economy.
Russian President Vladimir Putin also took part in the meeting, IA Regnum reports.
Earlier, on July 19, Trump said that after his promise to impose 10% duties against the BRICS member countries, the association allegedly began to "fade rapidly," RT reports.
