Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya international media group and RT TV channel, came out of anesthesia after surgery. She announced this on September 9th.

"I came out of anesthesia a couple of hours ago and I'm already nibbling on a chocolate bar. I'm typing slowly and crookedly, I'm sorry. Thank you to everyone who worried and prayed. I also love and appreciate you very much," Simonyan wrote on her Telegram channel.

Simonyan reported on her serious illness and upcoming surgery on September 7.
