Eight people were killed and at least 45 injured in an accident involving a freight train and a double-decker bus in Mexico City. This was reported on September 8 by NBC News, citing local authorities.

"A train crashed into a double-decker bus northwest of Mexico City early on Monday morning, killing at least eight people and injuring 45 others of varying severity," the material says.

It is specified that the accident occurred in the municipality of Atlacomulco, state of Mexico. The footage, which spread on social media, shows how a bus moving in heavy traffic along the railway tracks was hit by an approaching train. The impact hit the middle of the bus, after which the train dragged it along the rails.

The state's civil defense agency said emergency services were continuing to work at the scene.

The newspaper Le Parisien reported on September 6 that in France, one person was killed and six others were injured as a result of a car collision. It was clarified that three victims are in hospital in critical condition.
